Motorists traveling I-75 this morning will find a brush fire has caused the closure of the Interstate in Collier County. The closure has forced the closure to the Alligator Alley toll plaza through Rt. 27 in Broward County. The Florida Highway Patrol reports the closure also includes parts of SR29 from the Interstate to Rt. 41. Police are urging motorists who plans trips to the east coast of the state to use Rt. 31 or SR80. Authorities said the brush fire was reported Wednesday shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the Great Natural Preserve.
