auction including a landscape oil painting of Margaret Carlson, a famous
American landscape artist who died in 1964. A fee of $5 per person will be
collected at the door.
Among the entertainers who will be singing their way into the hearts of
those attending will be Rudy Biber, proprietor of Angela’s Restaurant. He
had a music recording studio when he lived in Austria and still does master
recordings in this area.
Christine Bronson, also a native of Austria, will be singing a couple of
songs from the movie “Titanic.” Lehigh Acres resident, Bob Bowers, a
current board member of The Lehigh Singers, will sing a favorite gospel
song.

during the performances. He is studying at FGCU.
Another very famous painter, Marcus Jansen will be in attendance. He and
his family live in Lehigh Acres and he is on the board of The Lehigh
Singers. He grew up in an artistic family.
His father was an organ and piano performer, his mother a contralto soloist
singing oratorios and sacred music. Jansen’s paintings and collages have
been shown here and abroad. He is considered one of the most interesting
and promising new painters of the 21st century and a leader in a new urban
contemporary movement.
According to Laurence Gartel, another famous artist, Marcus Jansen is a man of conviction.
“The book “Modern Urban Expressionism,” a book on the life and art of Marcus Jansen, is the perfect summation of his work. There is nothing false about this artist. He paints the urban scene with his very own unique vision.” This book, Modern Urban Expressionism, signed by Jansen himself, will be available at the Lehigh Singers Evening of the Arts and Music.
Peter Heubeck, also a resident of Lehigh Acres, will be performing a
selection on the clarinet. Heubeck was the principal clarinetist for a major
European orchestra until his retirement in Lehigh Acres.
If you ever wanted to sing, come try out with their “Quartet without a fourth.” Barry Moll, Jim Kreger and Tom Nelson, all members of The Singers, will be working with anyone who would like to bid on the opportunity to sing with them.
