‘Cash Feenz’ jury retires for the night
Jury members in the double-murder trial of “Cash Feenz” defendant Roderick Washington were asked by Judge Thomas Reese if they would like to continue to deliberate tonight or pick up tomorrow morning.
The 12 jurors indicated via written note that they would prefer to return tomorrow at 9 a.m. rather than stay late.
The court will recess after about six hours of deliberations today.
Washington faces a life prison sentence if convicted of two counts each of first-degree murder, kidnapping and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in the slayings of Jeffrey and Alexis Sosa in 2006.
