The Lee County Sheriff’s Office today said that on Tuesday, April 28, at approximately 9:27 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a robbery to a person that occurred at the Bank of America, located at 1360 Homestead Road, Lehigh Acres.

When deputies arrived on scene, they learned the victim had attempted to use the walk-up ATM machine when an unknown male tried to rob her. The victim explained that the suspect came up to her from behind and demanded her money, while implying he had a weapon. When the victim told the suspect she had less than a dollar, he took off running behind a nearby Publix, investigators said.

The suspect then entered an older model Toyota Camry with a Tampa Bay Buccaneers tag. The suspect vehicle was being driven by another unknown white male.

The robbery suspect is described as a white male, 5’7″, skinny build, shaved head, wearing all dark clothing.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit has assumed the investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 477-1000, or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
