Codie Alexander, accident victim

Codie Alexander Vieira, 18, of Fort Myers was killed when his vehicle hit the toll booth at the Midpoint Bridge in Cape Coral on Saturday May 9, 2009.

He was a senior at Cypress Lakes High School and a member of the YMCA and an avid sports fan especially soccer, baseball, basketball, fishing and he also enjoyed playing W.O.W. He was the a Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and the Boston Bruins fan.

Survivors include his parents Joanne and Tom Olson of Fort Myers and David Vieira of Fort Myers; three sisters Hailee and Emma Vieira and Kelly Olson; grandparents Clifton and Joan Trask of Punta Gorda, Ron and Sheryl Olson of Fort Myers and Jessica Vieira of N. Fort Myers. He also had a very special relationship with his Uncle Cliff.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held from 1to 4 p.mm. Saturday May 16, 2009 at Riverside Baptist Church, Daniels Parkway, Fort Myers.

In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Codie A. Vieira Memorial Fund, c/o Wachovia Bank 6360 Whiskey Creek Drive, Fort Myers Fl 33919 to help children of depression and addiction.
