Anglim Academy holds fund-raiser tourney on Saturday
Father Anglim Academy is a small school for students with special education needs. At least three families from Lehigh have students at the school.
They are very community oriented, and have done community service projects for the Lehigh area this school year, according to Barbara Kerby, a spokeswoman.
In order to serve the maximum number of students during the 2009-2010 school year, they need to raise scholarship money. The final fundraiser of the year is a Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament, she said.
It starts at 6 p.m. with a baked Ziti dinner, and the tournament starts at 7 p.m.. Blackjack tables will also be available.
The tournament will be held Saturday, May 16, at the The Knights of Columbus building, 4040 Princeton St, Fort Myers. The cost to play is $40, and to observe is $10. Both include the dinner, she said.
Prizes will be given away, and there is a loser’s table, Kerby said.
