A weekend sobriety checkpoint in Cape Coral Friday night and Saturday morning at the Mid-Point Toll Plaza resulted in eight DUI arrests, officials said Monday.
The enforcement action, which included Cape Coral police, Fort Myers police, and deputies with the Lee and Collier County Sheriff’s Offices, was conducted in the 1900 block of Veteran’s Parkway from 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
In addiiton to the eight DUIs, 27 citations were issued.
