Hope Hospice sets ground breaking in Lehigh Thursday

A ground breaking cermeony has been planned for Thursday, May 28 at 10 a.m. for the new Hope Hospice House in Lehigh Acres.

The public is invited to the ceremony which will take place at 9 Beth Stacey Blvd. in Lehigh.

Joining Hope Hospice President and CEO Samira Beckwith and other local officials for the groundbreaking of the new 45,000-square-foot hospice care facility will be U.S. Rep. Connie Mack (D-14).

The new facility willl serve residents of Alva, Buckingham, Clewiston, Gateway, LaBelle and Lehigh Acres. The new facility will include accommodations for 24 patient suites, a chapel, bereavement counseling offices and community meeting rooms.

A campaign is underway to help raise money to pay fo the facility.
