Survivors and their guests are invited to tour the grounds of the Regional Cancer Center and enjoy the healing garden, reflection pool, a boutique, deli, resource library and meditation room.
In addition to the areas open to visitors, the Regional Cancer Center is also home to radiation therapy, chemotherapy infusion services, physician offices and patient support services.
The 63,000-square-foot Regional Cancer Center opened in October 2008 near the intersection of I-75 and Colonial Boulevard. Built by Lee Memorial Health System in partnership with area cancer specialists, the center provides comprehensive services to patients who, until this opened, had to drive all over the area for treatment.
