Normand “Goup” Goupil, 63, of Lehigh Acres, died May 30, 2009 at Gulf Coast Hospital. He was born in Dover, N.H., and was the son of the late Arthur and Marie Ange Goupil.

He owned his own sales business before retiring to Florida. He served both in the U.S. Marines and and the U.S. Army. He held memberships in the American Legion, Elks, Moose and Marine Corps League.

He is survived by his wife Patricia and sisters Claire Lefebvre of Rochester, N.H., and Monique Douglas of Lakeland, Flal, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his foster parents, Robert and Madeline Estes and a brother, Roger Goupil.
