By Staff | Jun 10, 2009

Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre is going on a high-flying adventure this summer with the Tony-Award winning Broadway musical Peter Pan, playing June 11 through August 8, 2009. Join Peter Pan and Tinker Bell as they whisk Wendy and her brothers away to Neverland for some swashbuckling fun with the fearsome Captain Hook.

Peter Pan is the classic tale about a boy who doesn’t want to grow up and lives a life full of fun, whimsy and adventure. When Peter Pan and Tinker Bell use pixie dust, and a lot of imagination, to take Wendy, John and Michael to Neverland, the excitement begins, Peter Pan and the Lost Boys are in danger of the cruel Captain Hook and his bumbling pirates, but with the help of his new friends, and a croc with a clock, Peter might finally defeat Hook once and for all. Special flying effects are provided by ZFX, Inc.

The role of Peter Pan is played by Phillip Groft, a guest artist from Actor’s Equity Association (AEA). His credits include performing in the first National Tour of Oklahoma!, the National Tour of Chicago and in regional productions of CATS, Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose, West Side Story and My Favorite Year. The role of Captain Hook is being performed by Gary Kimble. Gary’s returns to Broadway Palm after playing Sheriff Ed Earl Dodd in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
