Panther Bank to celebrate the 50s in Lehigh

By Staff | Jun 17, 2009

Lehigh’s Panther Community Bank is planning a classic 50s celebration on June 18 from 4 to 7 p.m. at 50 Joel Blvd.

Panther Community Bank is Lehigh’s only local, hometown community bank and it has has hit the milestone of $50 million in assets, bank officials said today. The Bank has been open 18 months in Lehigh.

“We are rocking and rolling as a new, ‘old fashioned’ community bank. Lehigh has chosen us as their trusted financial adviser and voted with their accounts. We want to thank our friends and neighbors in a fun way with a Fabulous 50s Party to celebrate with the community,” said Karen R. Makowski, president and CEO.

The 50s was a classic era so the bank will showcase classic cars from Doc’s Custom and Collision in Lehigh, and provide a classic soda shop featuring ice cream sundaes made with Hannaford products from Sweetbay Supermarket.

“We are even offering a toaster for opening a new account – now how classic is that?” asked Gayle Morici, marketing director.

“There will be 50s music, a 50s costume contest, our Panther mascot dressed in 50s style, and fun for all. Come join the fabulous festivities and experience the way banking was and always should be – the community way,” Makowski said.
