Jonathan Kaplan of Lehigh Acres was among nearly 600 graduates who received diplomas in commencement exercises at Harding University in Searcy, Ark., recently . Majoring in art with teacher credentials, Kaplan received the bachelor of arts degree. The ceremonies were held in Benson Auditorium with U.S. Rep. John Boozman as the featured speaker.

Harding President David B. Burks presented the diploma to Kaplan.

The college had a record enrollment this year of more than 6,500 students from 48 states and 52 foreign countries. It is the largest private university in Arkansas. Harding also maintains campuses in Australia, Chile, England, France, Switzerland, greece, Italy and Zambia.
