Don’t be left without a spot in camp. Summer is here now and camps fill early, said officials with the Traditional Summer Camp at Alva, which is open to children ages 6 to 13. The camp is part of Lee County Parks and Recreation .

Traditional camp offers a full day of indoor and outdoor activities including arts and crafts, games, swimming/water days, limited field trips, nutrition, environment, fitness, sports (tennis, soccer, disk golf, etc.), and much more. Staff to camper ratio is 1:15 or less.

The camp is limited only to 60 participants. The regular fee is $60 a week. If you register online you will pay only $54 per week, a discount of 10 percent.

Sessions: include June 29 July 2, July 6 July 10, July 13 July 17, July 20 July 24, July 27 July 31, August 3 August 7, and

August 10 August 14.

The Alva Community Center is located at 21471 N. River Road.
