By Staff | Jun 29, 2009

Denny Brown has joined the staff of Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. as chief financial officer.
Brown will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the non-profit agency, including all accounting, reporting, treasury and budget functions as well as overseeing CCMI’s information technology operations and annual budget.
Brown is a community volunteer having served on the boards of CCMI, Amigos en Cristo, and other non-profit organizations in Fort Myers. He is a 16-year driver for the Meals on Wheels program.
Brown worked for Owens-Illinois (O-I), a packaging company where he served as president of O-I’s Brazilian companies plus postings in other foreign and domestic locations. After over 20 years of service, he retired as vice president and controller in 1990. In 2004, he retired again after 14 years of service as president of Linden, Inc, an international finance and data consulting firm.
“After having Denny lend us his time and talents through our Meals on Wheels program and as a Board Member for many years, we are extremely grateful that he has come out of retirement again to help us professionally as a member of the CCMI team,” said Sarah Owen, chief executive officer of Community Cooperative Ministries, Inc. “With Denny’s dedication to our community and his financial expertise, he will lead us to expand CCMI’s resources and reach.”
