Guided kayak tours offered this week

– Wednesday, July 8. River/Wiggins Pass Estuary Kayak Tour with GAEA Guides – Guided Kayak Nature Tours 10 to 1p.m. Tour leaves from Cocohatchee River Park, 13531 Vanderbilt Dr. in North Naples. This is a beautiful estuary area, with mangroves and many birds, dolphins, manatees and other critters. The cost is $40 per person and reservations are required.

– Thursday, July 9, Caloosahatchee Creeks Preserve, 17100 McDowell Dr., North Fort Myers – Guided Kayak Nature Tour with GAEA Guides. from 1 to 4p.m. Shade from moss draped oaks makes this a pleasant tour in summer, giant leather ferns, birds, manatees and fish are among the wonders in this maze of wilderness creeks along the river. The cost is $40 per person and reservations are required.

– Friday, July 10, Kayak Mullock Creek with GAEA Guides – Guided Kayak Nature Tours. From 10 to 2:30 p.m.. Tour leaves from Mullock Creek Marina, 18501 Mullock Creek Lane. This is a very quiet pathway to the east side of Estero Bay in the area of the Estero Bay Buffer Preserve. You’ll see many birds, fish, dolphin, manatee, crustaceans, and more among the winding mangrove creeks and in the Bay. The cost is $50 per person and reservations are required.

– Saturday, July 11, Estuary Kayak Tour in Estero Bay with GAEA Guides – Guided Kayak Nature Tours from 10 to 1 p.m. The tout leaves from Dog Beach, 8600 Estero Blvd., Bonita Beach. See herons, egrets, pelicans, osprey, dolphins, manatees and more. Learn about the estuary, and the many creatures that live in the mangrove forest. The cost is $40 per person and reservations are required.

– Sunday, July 12, Shadier Summer tour Koreshan State Historic Site, 3800 Corkscrew Rd., Estero from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m. This is a great river that flows into Estero Bay. It’s full of freshwater animals such as otters, turtles, fish and some alligators. Lots of interesting vegetation, too
