A Bonita Springs man was arrested today after he was accused of having sexual contact with a young girl at a party.
Emmanuel Zamora, 18, has been charged with committing a lewd or lascivious act on a victim between the age of 12 and 16.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Wednesday after receiving a call at 3:16 a.m. concerning a semi-conscious girl. Responding deputies were told by the caller that, while attending a party there, she discovered a teenage girl on the floor of a bathroom, undressed and crying. The caller also stated that a male, later identified as Zamora, had been in the bathroom with the victim and tried to prevent individuals at the home from entering.
Due to her condition, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital, officials said. When she regained consciousness, she told investigators that she had been drinking alcohol at the party earlier in the evening. She told investigators that, while at the party, Zamora forced her to swallow a blue pill he had placed in her drink. She also told investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit that Zamora threatened to harm her family if she did not do as he instructed. The victim then explained that she later woke up in the bathroom of the house and believes she had been sexually assaulted by Zamora, officials said.
The location of the residence at which the incident is reported to have occurred was not disclosed.
