New health news features local physicians online
More local health information is just a click away on the Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS) Web site, www.leememorial.org. Healthy News and Health Matters, the latest medical news affecting the health and wellness of Southwest Florida, have been added to the health system’s home page.
Healthy News is the LMHS 12-page community newsletter distributed throughout Lee, Charlotte and Collier counties. Healthy News articles feature health stories, the latest services available in the community, local physicians and much more. The 2009 issues are ready for viewing using new “page-turning” technology.
Health Matters is a video news story produced daily and aired on NBC-2. It allows you to link to valuable information on all types of medical conditions, as well as the ability to view these medical reports and read the scripts. Local doctors and other health care professionals share their expertise, along with heart-warming patient stories that will offer insight into the world of modern medicine.
“Our goal is to provide current and relevant health information to our community members,” said Brandy Church, director of communications for Lee Memorial Health System. “Our Web site, which features easy access to both Healthy News and Health Matters, offers the very latest in technology and surgical procedures available right here in Southwest Florida. Whether you are looking for the cutting-edge orthopedic procedures or minimally invasive cardiac surgery, you’ll now find it on Lee Memorial Health System’s Web site.”
In addition to Healthy News and Health Matters, LMHS’ Web site provides information on the hospitals and outpatient centers, traditional and state-of-the-art services offered through Lee Memorial Health System as well as links to A.D.A.M.
