To The Editor,

I would like to thank each and every one of the members of the Lehigh Acres Community Planning Corp. (LACPC) for the opportunity to observe at their meeting this past week. I congratulate your two new members on their election, and I am sure they will be great additions to the board in the roles they will perform.

What I saw was an honest interest by all to make Lehigh a better community. I also observed a willingness to work together and work out differences and to educate each other on the progress and direction.

I regret the board did not take the opportunity to become more diverse and that the wish to “grow back to the way things use to be” seemed to be accepted by some, which we know is mutually exclusive.

I still feel I would like to participate and do whatever I can. I feel it is a good group with good intentions and good people.
