Impaired drivers are a very real danger to themselves and, of course, any motorist who is sharing the road at the same time. With this in mind, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office launched a multi-faceted campaign of education, awareness and enforcement to battle this threat to our community. We have elected to publicize the names of those charged by deputies with the offense of DUI during the past week:

On July 6, 2009, at approximately 12:18 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Carlos Dimas, D.O.B. 10/29/60 of 3638 Presidential Ct, Fort Myers,

for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Overlook Dr/Cypress Lake Dr, Fort

Myers, Florida.

On July 6, 2009, at approximately 02:35 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Silvia P. Uribe, D.O.B. 12/09/87 of 904 SE 13th St, Cape Coral, for

DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Beacon Manor Dr/US 41, Fort

On July 6, 2009, at approximately 06:00 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Chris Robert Jennison, D.O.B. 02/28/63 of 4052 Winkler Ave, Fort

Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 11225 S Cleveland Ave,

Fort Myers, Florida.

On July 7, 2009, at approximately 06:11 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Lisa Mae Hawkins, D.O.B. 01/18/61 of 500 Orange Ave, Belle Glade,

for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Metropolis Ave, Fort Myers,

Florida.

On July 9, 2009, at approximately 02:25 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Charles Phillip Dietz, D.O.B. 11/30/50 of 8338 Sumner Ave, Fort

Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of 1400 Estero Blvd, Fort

Myers Beach, Florida.

On July 11, 2009, at approximately 02:03 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested William P. Harlowe, D.O.B. 10/13/57 of 404 Hollywood St, Lehigh

Acres, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Homestead Rd N & Lee

Blvd, Lehigh Acres, Florida.

On July 11, 2009, at approximately 02:11 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested John Benjamin Deck, D.O.B. 04/03/81 of 2343 Woodland Blvd, Fort

Myers, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Summerlin Rd/College

Pkwy, Fort Myers, Florida.

On July 11, 2009, at approximately 02:14 am, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested James Ellis Butcher, D.O.B. 02/04/57 of 11413 Seventh Ave, Punta

Gorda, for DUI. The incident occurred in the area of Tamiami Trail/Laurel Dr,

North Fort Myers, Florida.

On July 11, 2009, at approximately 12:30 pm, Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies
