Parking fees waived July 25, 26 at county parks
Parking fees will be waived at Lee County regional parks and boat ramps and swimmers will have free admission to county pools on the weekend of Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, according to Kenneth W. Mills, Lee County Parks marketing and media supervisor.
Lee County Commissioners waived the parking fees and pool admission in celebration of National Parks & Recreation Month, which is marked each July.
Lee County Parks & Recreation touches the lives of individuals, families, groups and the entire community positively impacting the social, economic and environmental quality of the county, Mills said. Parks, greenways, blueways and open spaces provide a welcome respite from a fast-paced, high-tech lifestyle while protecting and preserving Lee County’s natural environment, he said.
“The Board of County Commissioners urges all citizens to rediscover our parks, especially on the weekend of July 25 and 26,” Mills said. for more information go online to: www.leeparks.org.
