Takes issue with Speaker Pelosi’s statement

By Staff | Jul 21, 2009

To The Editor,

Madam Speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a windfall tax on all stock market profits, including retirement funds, 401K and mutual funds, all to help 12 million illegal immigrants and unemployed minorities. She says: “We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.”

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: “We need to raise the standard of living of our poor unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help, along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as’ Americans.'”

Read this reply again and again and let it sink in.

She wants to lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked for it, are here illegally,to raise their standard of living. This woman isfrightening and out of her mind, and she is the Speaker Of The House.

If you are like me, after the downturn of the stock market and the collapse of the economy, there is not much left to tax.

Regardless of what little is left, the Democrats will conjure some means of stealthiness to feed their unscrupulous desire to equalize and disseminate our hard earned savings.

This is their nature, tax and spend, and they are doing their job disguising their actions as a noble cause. Justice is blind- and so are we if we allow this windfall tax on Retirement Income to happen.
