Deputies searching for robbers who held up drugstore with a knife
Deputies are looking for two people who held up the Walgreen’s on South Cleveland Avenue at 2:44 a.m. today.
An employee was working in the front of the business at 12749 South Cleveland Avenue told investigators a man and woman entered the store, concealing their faces. The man, a white male, displayed a four-inch knife and demanded cash. The employee complied by opening the cash register and relinquishing an undisclosed amount of cash.
The male suspect also reached behind the counter during the robbery and removed a carton of Marlboro cigarettes. Meanwhile, the female suspect stood watch at the front door. Both robbers then fled.
The male suspect is described as five feet eight inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, dark eyes and wearing a black muscle tank top with black baggy pants and black tennis shoes. He used a black shirt to cover his face. The female was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, purple medical scrubs, white tennis shoes and used a dark colored shirt to cover her face.
