Investigators are seeking information surrounding the shooting of a woman found critically injured in her vehicle in Lehigh Acres Sunday morning.

The victim, identified as Takilia Smith, 29, of Lehigh, was airlifted to the Trauma Center at Lee Memorial Hospital where she died.

She was found in her car after deputies were called to a shooting in the area of Martin Ave. South and 27th Street S.W. at 3:13 a.m.

An autopsy is pending. No other details have been released and the investigation is continuing.
