FROM THE LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The illegal sale, use and distribution of narcotics is recognized as a significant contributor to violent crimes, burglaries and thefts which can dramatically affect the quality of life in our community. Therefore, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making every effort to take drugs off the street by targeting individuals who are active participants in this unsavory underworld. This is being accomplished through aggressive patrol, undercover operations and interagency investigations with local, state and federal drug enforcement agencies.

In the past week the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made a total of nine drug arrests. To educate and enhance awareness of the Sheriff’s Office daily activities in this endeavor the following arrests are being listed:

On July 21, 2009, at approximately 10:06 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Ellen Smith, D.O.B. 11/21/71, of 405 Dancing Wind Lane, Naples, on

felony drug charges for Possession of Controlled Substance without a

Prescription, Possession of Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of

Kentucky / Old 41, Bonita Springs, .

On July 21, 2009, at approximately 01:27 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Kevin Michael Pugh Jr., D.O.B. 01/13/89, of 4036 Winkler Ave, Fort

Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of 5641 7th Ave., Fort Myers, .

On July 22, 2009, at approximately 04:03 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Allesandro David Tumminello, D.O.B. 03/31/90, of 3108 NE 7th

Place, Cape Coral, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 814 Pine Island Road, Cape

Coral.

On July 23, 2009, at approximately 04:32 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Tyler Douglas Maltby, D.O.B. 08/16/90, of 125 NE 6th Place, Cape

Coral, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of US 41 / Crown Lake Blvd.,

Bonita Springs.

On July 23, 2009, at approximately 04:36 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Joshua Brian Rodriguez, D.O.B. 10/13/89, of 1013 SE 44th Street,

Cape Coral, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine, Possession

of Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of US 41 / Crown Lake Blvd.,

On July 23, 2009, at approximately 02:45 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Frank Michael Demario, D.O.B. 09/12/85, of 25130 Sandpiper

Greens Ct., Bonita Springs, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of S. Tamiami Trail / Coconut

Rd., Bonita Springs.

On July 25, 2009, at approximately 12:44 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested William Spuhler, D.O.B. 01/12/47, of 1931 SE 10th Place, Cape

Coral, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of 16930 Juanita Ave, Fort Myers, .

On July 25, 2009, at approximately 06:45 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Amanda Lynne Hitchner, D.O.B. 12/30/82, of 3620 66th Terr., on

Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of Daniels Pkwy / Cross

Creek, Fort Myers.

On July 25, 2009, at approximately 08:32 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies

arrested Robert Troy Turner, D.O.B. 02/06/70, of 15065 Pine Meadows Dr.,

Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident

occurred in the area of 5th Ave. / Maple Dr., Fort Myers.
