Lee B. Downs of Lehigh Acres, who is traveling the country along with his wife, Fran, in their large bus traveling home, says he will be interviewed on Fox on Friends on FOX TV on Saturday morning, Aug. 1.

The show is from 5 to 9 a.m. and the anchor is Steve Doocy, Downs said.

He is scheduled to be on camera at 7:50 a.m., he said in an email to The Lehigh Acres Citizen today. He will speak about the Obama health plan currently moving through Congress.

Downs, who was active in veterans affairs in Lee County for years, was also active in the former Lehigh Acres Fleet Reserve and one-time funeral home operator, has been traveling for the past couple of years in their large mobile home on wheels. He and the Fleet Reserve also constructed a large senior center living complex on Taylor Lane Ext.

“You don’t want to miss me on TV,” Downs said. “I’ll have a lot to say.”
