Win Dolphins tickets for the Aug. 22 game by visiting Lehigh library
When the Miami Dolphins visited the East County Regional Library in Lehigh Acres on July 29, they left behind lots of autographs and smiles with the more than 300 people in attendance. They also left something else. Lots of tickets for their game against the Carolina Panthers on August 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Miami.
Miami Dolphin players and management were at the Lehigh library on July 29 to speak to children and teens enrolled in the Summer Reading Program about the importance of reading. The Dolphins partnered with the State Library for the 2009 statewide Florida Library Youth Program aimed at keeping students reading throughout the summer months. After the presentation, the Miami Dolphins generously donated tickets to Lee County Library System for the August 22 game.
Summer Reading participants and the public are encouraged to stop by any Lee County Library System location to fill out an entry form for a drawing to win four tickets to the game. Entry forms will be in the libraries starting August 4 and winners will be announced on August 14. There will be several winners at each of 12 Lee County Library System locations. There is a limit of one prize (four tickets) per person. Go to the library most convenient to you and ask any staff member where to find the entry forms.
“It would be a great reward to our Summer Reading participants to win four tickets to a Dolphins game,” says Voncile Williams, programming coordinator for Lee County Library System. “The drawing is open to the public, too, and this just might be an incentive to someone who hasn’t visited a public library in a long time to come in and see what’s new.”
