Freshmen invited to East Lee County High for orientation

All incoming freshmen of East Lee County High School for the Class of 2013 are being invited to a “New Jags on the Prowl” orientation on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The school is at 715 Thomas Sherwin Ave. in Lehigh Acres.

Admittance is free. The program includes tour of the school, prizes, meeting new friends including faculty and staff, a scavenger hung. Those who attend will get free Jaguar T-shirt, said Pam Jenkins.

“The program starts at 8 a.m. and it is not a come at anytime and go; it’s a program that begins in the morning and ends at 1 p.m. Refreshments will be provided and prospective students should plan to spend the entire time period with us,” Jenkins said.

As part of the five-hour session, the school’s cheerleaders and Joey the Jaguar will be on to perform, Jenkins said..
