Lee County is tracking federal stimulus dollars that have been awarded locally on its website for the benefit of citizens and other agencies.

The link is on the county’s main web page under Featured Content, and listed as “ARRA Stimulus Awards” (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act), http://www.lee-county.com/recovery/Pages/default.aspx.

The county will be updating this information frequently with the ultimate goal of posting information on all of the ARRA funds that this area is receiving, including that of other agencies and not-for-profits, officials said. The county also is participating in regional ARRA working groups to ensure that it is pursuing local and regional partnerships when possible.

The website provides residents with a summary of the dollars being received and contact information if they desire more information.
