To The Editor:

This is an open letter for Lehigh Acres readers and an open letter to President Obama and the United States Congress.

It’s jobs, jobs, jobs, stupid! You want to stop the decline of foreclosed homes and restore the building of equity in housing ownership, give us jobs.

You want toreturn the stock market to a viable investment commodity, give us jobs.

You want to see the car manufactures return to a viable company, building cars the American people want, give us jobs. You want to see the health companies lower costs and provide better care to more people, give us jobs. And not government jobs.

Get out of the business of running private companies, which you have no experience, and stick to running the government, which it seems, you don’t have too much experience in that area either.

You all act like this depression we are in happened over night.

It has been in the making ever since the Lyndon Johnson administration “privatized” Fannie Mae, and Presidents and members of Congress since then, did nothing to abrogate what led us to where we are today.

You all are all to blame, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Stick to what the government was meant to be by our founding fathers – provide security and enforce the constitution and civil laws, provide assistance in natural disasters, and quit interfering in our private lives.
