Takes issues with letter from fire commissioner
To The Editor,
In a recent letter that Fire Commissioner David Adams wrote to you is full of mistakes.
I take offense that this whole LAFD financial crisis is due to the decrease in property values.
The commissioners have been told about the upcoming financial crisis “turn down” at every meeting by the chief or by the public. So, what rock have the commissioners been living under for the past four years?
The commissioners have spent millions of taxpayer dollars on things that we do not need. Currently the commissioners still haven’t learned the difference between and need and want?
Yes I have called the fire commissioners shameful, vile and gutless, but let’s read the definitions of each word.
Shameful definition disgraceful or scandalous
Vile definition – causing disgust or abhorrence
Gutless definition cowardly, spineless, weak, timid
Don’t the above words truly fit the current makeup of the fire board? The spend, spend and spend board is turning in to the “we” are going to tax you more board.
Commissioner Ralph Hemingway criticized the Blue Ribbon committee recently. He called them “yellow.” Just maybe he should have called his own board “yellow.”
If the so-called assessment passes, it’s going to be printed on your tax bill- $100 greed tax in care of the Lehigh Acres Fire Commissioners.
One of my current biggest criticisms is that the commissioners seem to be willing to waste up to $175,000 to have an election for an assessment that will never pass.
Why is the fire commissioners ignoring the plain truth and not fixing the issues?
So commissioners since you will not react. What are you going to do when they run out of money and you have no choice but to close down all the stations and or turn over operations to the State of Florida?
