The Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its “University Day,” Saturday, Sept. 12, from noon to 4 p.m. at Miromar Outlets, 10801 Corkscrew Road, Estero.

The program is designed to provide high school students in Southwest Florida the opportunity to interact with various representatives from local universities and colleges to better educate them on the different choices they have when it comes time to apply to a school or scholarship. Booths will be set up in the northwest corner of the mall near Playland.

The Hispanic Chamber has arranged for members and financial aid

representatives from the local universities and colleges to answer questions

students may have as they prepare to apply to a school of their choice. The

event will be free to the public and information will be readily available

for the taking.
