Children’s Home Society ribbon cutting: JacquelinE D. House, director of development for the Children’s Home Society of Florida, center, shown with the large scissors, was hosted to a ribbon cutting this past week by the Lehigh Acres Chamber of CommercE. After a proclamation was read by Julie Camp, holding the plaque, ribbons were cut to mark the occasion. Others in the photo include Joan Starr, Maralyn Walkine, Chamber members; Inke Baker, executive assistant of the Chamber; Cheryl McConahy, a member of the Chamber; Jacqueline House; Vickie Hay, Charlie Jones, Agnes Prestigiovanni and Jorge Alvarez, all representing the Chamber. The Children’s Home Society works with children who are neglected and abused and take referrals from agencies such as DCF. They operate in five counties in Southwest Florida.
