Pre-K parents can register their children in Lehigh
Parents are now able to register their preschool children for the District’s Early Head Start and Head Start/Voluntary Pre-K programs at the District’s Student Assignment Offices in Lehigh Acres and at the Lee County Public Education Center in Fort Myers.
Previously, parents or Pre-K students visited the Early Childhood Learning Services office on Michigan Avenue but now they can register their preschool children for school at the same office as they do with the rest of their children.
The Lehigh Acres Student Assignment office is located at 9 Beth Stacey Blvd, Suite 207; the Fort Myers office is at 2855 Colonial Blvd. The hours are 9 a.m. 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, Early Childhood staff will be at the Public Education Center’s Student Assignment Office.
Pre-K registration begins in February, similar to the District’s regular registration calendar. By providing staff at the Student Assignment Offices the District can provide better customer service to families now they can enroll all their children at the same office at the same time.
For more information regarding the District’s pre-kindergarten programs, families are encouraged to contact Ivonne Orengo or Betty Bustamante in the Lehigh Acres office (239-461-8475) or Yadira Montanez in the Fort Myers office (239-337-8247.)
