Government is telling us a lot of ‘bull’

By Staff | Sep 22, 2009

To The Editor:

An important sign of a firming economic emerged last week from government statistics. Employers shed 216,000 jobs in August, compared to 276,000 in July. The housing market has shown signs of “firming” up.

“That really is what is important”, said Christina Romer, the head of White House Council of Economic Advisers. That’s bull.

These people are happy because we “only” lost 216,000 jobs in August? And how they rejoiced over the “success” of the cash for clunkers, until the cash ran out. They are enlightened because people with cash are buying $250,000 homes for $50,000, with $8,000 dollars of our tax money, and tell you the housing market is firming up! Again, that’s bull.

What the Democrats are doing is trying to get us taxpayers ready for the Health Plan they are going to push down our throats.

You think health care is expensive now, wait until it is “free,” and see how much it cost. And when the trillions of dollars of our debt comes due, and we can’t pay it, what then? I don’t know about you, but I am going to learn to speak Chinese, and that is no bull.
