Faith Presbyterian Church held a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony Tuesday for the new Faith Center building for more than 400 people.
“It is great to have a building up that we can use,” said Dave Barton, building committee chairman.
He added that opening the center means a lot of success, especially after beginning the process of building it six years ago.
Before Barton cut the ribbon to enter the new Faith Center, the congregation read a speech in unison, dedicating the building to “God’s work here in Cape Coral.

Everyone in attendance then continued inside sitting at various tables, which were set up for dinner. “We could not have had this dinner at our old facility, we had to build this for our growing community,” said the Rev. Dr. H Tim Halverson, a senior pastor.
He said there are so many people involved in so many ways, along with a great deal of people to thank for making the Faith Center possible. “Several years ago we asked you to make an investment in the future and this facility, and you stood up and made this happen,” Halverson said to the congregation.
He said the Faith Center means “the future,” which allows Faith Presbyterian Church to “meet the needs for a growing community.”
Phase two of Faith Presbyterian Church, or Building Faith to Living Faith, will encompass the sanctuary expansion and the completion of site work and covered walkway.
Church officials hope to start the next phase in the near future.
