Door smashed at McDonald’s on Cape Coral Parkway
An unknown burglar smashed a glass door in the early morning hours at a local McDonald’s Restaurant, causing $500 in damage while apparently absconding with milkshake.
Cape Police responded to a reported burglary at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 1222 Cape Coral Parkway East at 4:45 a.m.
According to the manager, she arrived at the restaurant at 4:30 a.m. and began checking all of the doors. During the check, the manager discovered that a glass door on the east side of the restaurant was broken. Alarmed by the discovery, she immediately left the building and called police.
The manager told police officers that the burglar had entered the restaurant some time after midnight and before 4:30 a.m. The only item that was reported stolen was a milkshake.
The estimated value of the damaged door is $500, while the value of the milkshake is $2, officials said.
