Marilyn K. Louis

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday October 14, 2009 at the Anderson – Paterson Cremation and Funeral Services at 2701 Lee Blvd. in Lehigh for Marilyn K. Louis, 68, of Lehigh Acres. She died Friday, October 9, 2009.

Born in Kalamazoo, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Letha Bowman and wife to the late Ronald Louis. She was cared for by her daughter Lisa M. Louis of Lehigh Acres.

She was saved at the age of nine while attending vacation Bible school and was of the Baptist faith ever since. She worked many years for General Hospital and was a real estate agent part-time. She lived an active life; she played softball professionally, was an avid bowler, loved to fish and was a master ping pong player. She will be remembered for her strength, competitive nature, and generosity to others, her family said.

In addition to her daughter, Lisa, Louis is survived by her son, Kevin “Scott” Louis of Lehigh Acres; daughters, Laura (Ronnie) Gray of Amory, Miss., Sheri Richmond of Nashville, Tenn., and Kelly Sjuggeruud of Nashville, Tenn. Also surviving are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Louis was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and Jerry and a sister, Alberta.

Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday October 13 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Bushnell National Cemetery.
