Lewis M. Gillen

Lewis M. Gillen, 67, of Alva, passed away October 12, 2009 in Alva. He was the husband of the late M. Sue Gillen.

He was born Dec. 31, 1941 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of the late Richard E. and the late Wanda I. (Linson) Gillen.

He was the owner/operator of Lewis B. Gillen Trucking And Excavating.

Survivors include one son: Jerry L. Gillen of Alva, and one daughter, Jacqueline Gillen of Lehigh Acres; two brothers: Charles R. Gillen of Fort Myers, Gary B. (Linda) Gillen of Belle Center, Ohio, and four sisters: Sharon Shirk of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Diane (Brad) Miller of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Barbara (Mike) McCarren of Belle Center, Ohio, Pamila Gillen of Belle Center, Ohio; granddaughters, Amber O’Brien and Ashleigh Lynk; one great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, 13932 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers with Chaplain Chuck Wester officiating.

Interment will be Friday October 16, 2009 in Alva Cemetery, Alva.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Akin-Davis Funeral Home, Fort Myers.
