Farmer’s Market opens today
The Cape Coral Chamber Farmers Market will kick off its season today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 40 vendors will participate.
The Farmers Market has been in Cape Coral for more than 15 years, with the Cape Coral Chamber coordinating the event for the past nine.
The market will be held Saturdays until May 8, 2010.
“The quality products, great vendors and loyal customers create a wonderful relaxing Saturday morning destination,” Claudia St. Onge, of the chamber, said.
The Saturday event is one of the largest markets in the area featuring a wide variety of vendors selling produce, seafood, plants, trees and flowers, baked goods, handmade crafts, along with unique items.
Food and drink vendors also will be present at the event with such items ranging from cold drinks to baked goods to various items for an entire meal.
Dave Lapio and John Friday will provide the entertainment for the Farmers Market with multiple shows throughout the season.
The event will be held at Club Square, which is located at Southest 10th Place and Southeast 47th Terrace.
