Lower Leonard neighborhood Cleanup set Oct. 31

Volunteers are needed for a general neighborhood cleanup Oct. 31 in the area of Meadow Road and Owens Ave., in Lehigh Acres.

The cleanup is co-sponsored by the Lower Leonard Neighborhood Watch, Florida Defense Forces, Lehigh Acres Weed and Seed Project, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Keep Lee County Beautiful and Keep Lehigh Acres Beautiful.

Volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at the corner of Owens Ave. and Meadow Rd. Information about starting a Neighborhood Watch program also will be available at the starting point.

To get to the site, travel east on SR82 (toward Immokalee), turn left on Owen Ave. If you pass Lee Memorial Park, turn around because you have driven too far.
