FROM THE LEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The illegal sale, use and distribution of narcotics is recognized as a significant contributor to violent crimes, burglaries and thefts which can dramatically affect the quality of life in our community. Therefore, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making every effort to take drugs off the street by targeting individuals who are active participants in this unsavory underworld. This is being accomplished through aggressive patrol, undercover operations and interagency investigations with local, state and federal drug enforcement agencies.

In the past week the Lee County Sheriff’s Office made a total of 12 drug arrests. To educate and enhance awareness of the Sheriff’s Office daily activities in this endeavor the following arrests are being listed:

On October 16, 2009, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Joshua Gilberto Ortiz, D.O.B. 10/14/87, of 1102 New

Market Road, Immokalee, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of SR 82 / Meadow, Lehigh

Acres.

On October 17, 2009, at approximately 09:54 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Larvon Upshaw, D.O.B. 09/14/77, of 1430 SE 32nd Ter.,

Cape Coral, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident

occurred in the area of 566 New York Drive, Fort Myers.

On October 20, 2009, at approximately 02:33 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Cristien Goncalves, D.O.B. 11/03/78, of 7626 Winged Foot

Road, Fort Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 7626 Winged Foot Drive, Fort

Myers.

On October 20, 2009, at approximately 05:50 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Douglas Stewart Carnegie, D.O.B. 02/09/81, of 7230

Buchanan Rd., Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Synth.

Narcotics with Intent to Sell/Deliver, Possession of Marijuana. The incident

occurred in the area of Old 41 / Rosemary Drive, Bonita Springs.

On October 22, 2009, at approximately 12:18 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Kenneth Wade Green, D.O.B. 03/13/81, of 1426 Flora

Street, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Marijuana with

Intent to Sell/Deliver, Possession of Controlled Substance without a

Prescription. The incident occurred in the area of 3914 Desoto Ave, Fort

On October 22, 2009, at approximately 06:42 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Jeffrey David Dessak, D.O.B. 07/19/90, of 11470

Longwater Chase Ct., Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of

Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of 2115 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Fort Myers .

On October 22, 2009, at approximately 07:00 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Catherine Marie Pinault, D.O.B. 12/30/90, of 12497

Summerwood Drive, Fort Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for

Possession of Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 16430 S.

Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers…

Deputies arrested Richard David Spence, D.O.B. 12/12/88, of 3401 Bateman

Road, Lehigh Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of 16430 S. Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers.

On October 23, 2009, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Joseph Ryan Stinnett, D.O.B. 11/18/88, of 5103 W. 2nd

Street, Lehigh Acres, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of

Marijuana. The incident occurred in the area of Felix Romano Ave. / Unice

Ave., Lehigh Acres.

On October 24, 2009, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Billiejean Burdette, D.O.B. 09/21/90, of 221 Gazelle, North

Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The incident

occurred in the area of Palm Beach Blvd. / Tyrone Ave, Fort Myers.

On October 24, 2009, at approximately 05:25 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Jeffrey Barbour Kain, D.O.B. 02/10/73, of 5644 9th Ave,

Fort Myers, on misdemeanor drug charges for Possession of Marijuana. The

incident occurred in the area of 4200 Pine Island Road, Matlacha.

On October 25, 2009, at approximately 06:34 a.m., Lee County Sheriff’s

Deputies arrested Kevin Devon Williams, D.O.B. 04/02/80, of 1147 Luray

Street, Fort Myers, on felony drug charges for Possession of Cocaine. The
