Night lane closures planned on I-75 widening project
Officials at iROX, the construction project widening I-75 said this weekend that from 8 p.m. Sunday, November 1, to 5 a.m. Monday, November 2), motorists can expect lane closures at these locations:
I-75 northbound from mile marker #116 to #122 (from the Bonita Beach Road interchange to one mile south of the Corkscrew Road interchange).
I-75 southbound from mile marker #136 to #133 (from the Colonial Boulevard interchange to three miles south of the Colonial Boulevard interchange).
I-75 southbound from mile marker #131 to #129 (from Daniels parkway interchange to two miles south of the interchange).
One lane northbound and one lane southbound will remain open to traffic during nighttime work requiring lane closures. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph in areas with lane closures. Motorists are reminded to use caution, always to buckle up, always to pay attention, and not to tailgate, said Dave Parks, iROX public information officer.
