Senior Center November events
These are the Lehigh Acres Senior Citizens Center upcoming events for November:
Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Bingo. Large jackpots, non-members are welcome.
The Wednesday Afternoon Dances 2:30-4 p.m., live nine-piece band on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
Monday to Friday from 9 to 11 a.m., free blood pressure checks for members
Every Fridayfrom 1:30-4 p.m. Tea Dance, closed Nov. 27. Dance will not start until 2 p.m. on November 20 due to Thanksgiving Dinner.
Nov. 19 from 7-9 p.m. Dance with Le Deux, $3 for members, $4 for nonmembers.
Diabetic Support Group cancelled this month.
Nov. 11 at 11:30 a.m., hotdog day, chips and soda. sign up week in advance.
Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. Doctors’ Breakfast featuring Dr. Richardson on “Coronary Artery Disease” sponsored by LRMC. A light breakfast will be provided.
Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon.Health Fair, public invited. Sponsored by Lehigh Regional Medical Center. There will be lots of drawings for gifts and finger foods.
Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m., Meet ‘n Eat, carpool to Bahama Breeze Restaurant. Sign up a week before.
Nov. 19 at 12:30 p.m.,birthday lunch for November birthdays. (Free meal for members must sign up a week in advance)
Nov. 20 at noon, Thanksgiving Dinner and entertainment at the Elks. You must be a member and have done an early sign up.
Nov. 23 at 11:30 a.m. Learn at Lunch, Ron Gunitero “Discovering Your Strengths” (Must be a member and sign up a week in advance)
Nov. 24 at 1 p.m.Deck the Halls. Decorate and enjoy holiday treats
The Senior Center is closed on Thanksgiving Day and the day afterward, Friday.
Daily classes offered every day. We have line dancing, bocce, creative writing, discussion group, all types of card games, Swedish weaving, tatting, needlework-many types, punchneedle, woodcarving, stain glass, simulated bowling, sewing for beginners or advanced, pine needle baskets, art (all mediums), weight loss group, walking, made a Teddy Bear class, craft class, exercise classes, quilting, ping pong, make a teddy bear, beginner and intermediate computer classes.
We also have our Golden Shell Boutique open to the public where we sell clothes and a multitude of other items for a great price.
