Blanche Janet Kossow

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church Saturday, Nov . 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. for Blanche Janet Kossow, 71, of Lehigh Acres, who died Saturday November 21, 2009. She has lived in Lehigh Acres for 30 years.

She was the husband of Jack Kossow for 53 years and daughter of the late Frank Sr., and Martha Wyskochil.

She and her mother, Martha Wyskochil, began the Lehigh TOPS Chapter 428 more than 23 years ago. She held the positions of leader, co-leader, treasurer, secretary, and weight recorder. Kossow also won several awards for sewing including Best of Show and taking first place in cross stitching and craft work at several annual Lehigh Spring Festivals. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church for 30 years and sang in the St. Raphael’s choir.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Frank Jr.

Kossow is survived by her husband Jack, and her children Michael (Debbie) Kossow, Susan Rainey, Jeffrey (June) Kossow, grandchildren Matthew Sr., Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Brittany, Dakota, and one great grandchild Matthew Jr., a brother, Douglas James Wyskochil; a sister Kathleen (Patrick) Wolf, one nephew, Patrick (Tina) Wyskochil and several relatives in the Milwaukee, Wisc., area.

Visitation services will be held at Lee Memorial Park Funeral Home Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Family members said hey would like to thank Hope Hospice for all of their care and support.
