The annual Christmas lighting and the arrival of Santa Claus in Lehigh Acres will take place Saturday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m.

The event is scheduled on the grounds of Lehigh Regional Medical Center. Just how Santa will arrive has not been announced. In previous years, Santa has arrived on a fire truck and sometimes he arrives by car.

Free photos of children are being offered by the sponsoring Lehigh Regional Medical Center.

There will be treats and entertainment.

Then at 7 p.m., Santa Claus will join Jose Morillo, the hospital’s CEO, for the annual switching on of the Christmas tree lights in front of the hospital along Lee Blvd.

Everyone is invited and the event traditionally begins the holiday season in Lehigh.
