Tickets went on sale on Sunday, Dec. 6, for the eleventh season of Signature Chamber Concerts. Series tickets for the four concerts are $55 per person; single tickets in advance are $17 per concert; and single tickets at the door are $20. One $8 student ticket covers all siblings in a family when accompanied by at least one adult.. The concerts begin at 3 p.m. at the Unitarian-Universalist Church, 13411 Shire Lane, off Daniels Parkway west of I-75 in Fort Myers. Tickets are on sale at the church or by phone at 239 203-9165.

The Doug Cameron Quartet will open the season on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Doug Cameron is an internationally known master of the violin. His repertoire includes jazz and easy listening, as well as the classics.

The second concert, on February 14, will feature Michael Baron, piano, and Paul Votapek, clarinet, in classical masterpieces for this duo. Both musicians are members of the faculty of the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University.

On February 28, Adam Satinsky and Friends will perform works for strings by Dohnanyi, Bach, and Beethoven. This well-known group of southwest Florida musicians is composed of Daniela Shtereva, violin; Geoffrey Day, violin; Glenn Loontjens, viola; and Adam Satinsky, cello.

The final concert of the season on March 14 will present the Sarasota Piano Trio, with Jonathan Spivey, piano; Daniel Jordan, violin; and Abraham Feder, cello, in works by Beethoven, Shastakovich, and Brahms.

Each of the four concerts is followed by a reception where audience members are encouraged to meet and speak with the performers.

The concert venue is acclaimed by performers and audiences alike for its excellent acoustics. The facility was designed for public performances with stadium seating, unobstructed views, cushioned seats, and soaring ceilings.

Signature Chamber Concerts was established in 1999 to promote the fine and performing arts in the Ft. Myers community. The concerts, planned and organized by a volunteer Board, feature quality programming, the best Southwest Florida professional musicians, and affordable ticket prices.
