Oil Painting Workshop. This class is intended to introduce oil painting as a means of personal expression. The classes are designed to expand knowledge utilizing various subjects including landscape, portrait and still life. Students will focus on composition, color values, perspective, shading and form. Students must supply all materials for class. This is not included in the price. Any makeup classes will be rescheduled by the instructor. Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day)

Free Community Christmas Dinner open to all residents of Lehigh, no cost. Dinner is annual tradition put on by the Lehigh Acres Rotary Club. It is being held at the Parish Hall of St. Rafael’s Church on Lee Blvd., across from the Walmart store. Serving is from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.(See story on Page 1 of today’s Citizen).

Saturday, Dec. 26

The VFW Post 4174 on Homestead Rd. is hosting lunches on Mondays,Tuesdays and Saturdays. For $1.25 you get a hot dog with chips. Serving is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The First Community Congregational United Church of Christ at 200 Leeland Heights Blvd. serves breakfast every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The cost is $5 and there is a choice of four types of breakfast menus. Proceeds go to the church’s capital building campaign.

Hope Hospice offers a grief support group each Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Hope office located at 25 Homestead Road North, Suite 35, in Lehigh Acres.
