The FGCU Art Galley presents Romero Britto on Thursday Jan. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the main gallery of the Arts Complex, according to Anica Sturdivant, interim gallery director. Tickets sales continue until Jan. 4 for the art gallery fundraiser.

Sturdivant said a member of the community stepped up to offset the ticket pricing for the event. “This enables us to ask for $75 per ticket or $140 per couple for this year’s fundraiser to benefit the Art Gallery, Art Lab, Gallery Talks and Guest Artists brought to the university for our students, colleagues and community members,” Sturdivant said.

Attendees will be supporting the arts while enjoying an evening with internationally renowned artist Romero Britto amid a select retrospective of his art, fine wines from 55 Degrees Cool Wine and Cheese, gourmet tastings by Executive Chef Martin Murphy of the Robb & Stucky KitchenAid Culinary Center, and music by Dost Thou Love Me of Naples, Sturdivant said.
