A memorial service will be held at new Images Ministries Church, 29 Homestead Rd. in Lehigh Acres on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 for Melvin Leon Eby, 88, who died Dec. 29, 2009. He was known as “Mel” to his friends. He was best known in the area as the first golf pro at Mirror Lakes Golf Course in Lehigh.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of 64 years; children Jon (Susan), Dan (Karen), and Nila (John) Rayburn; grandchildren, Cheryl Gutjahr, Kristin (Brian) Sites, Staci Rayburn and Clint Eby; great-grandchildren; Kiley Sites, Colton Sites, Gregory Tefft, and Reese Gutjahr.

The family will begin receiving friends at the church at 9 a.m. Saturday following by the memorial service which includes a military presentation of the American flag.
